What is Timeless Craftsman Style Painting?
Timeless craftsman style painting is all about paying attention to the preparation and  application, thus capturing the beauty of your home or business.  These are accomplished through the quality of the job performed.  That's our signature at Remedy.

According to Ed, "in order to achieve and maintain a long lasting finished product, it is imperative to follow industry standards, without compromising the integrity of the finished product via shortcuts.  An exceptional paint job sure to stand the test of time is largely about surface preparation and application technique. Both determine the uniformity of the surface finish, hence the overall appearance of the finished product.  It's important to keep that in mind when selecting a painting contractor.  There is more to the painting process than meets the eye and the end result is only as good as the detail given the preparation and application!

The owner of Remedy Painting, Ed Okenica, has been a professional craftsman for over twenty-five years.  He learned the painting trade while in college, and has turned it into a twenty plus year career. Ed has been involved in virtually every facet of the paint contracting business over the past two decades.

Just a few of his management and painting responsibilities have  included the following:
  • Financial management of his painting business to include multiple accounts, inventory, insurance, taxes and payroll
  • Scheduling, managing and running several crews on multiple jobs
  • Repainting of small and large interior and exterior home projects
  • Painting of a new neighborhood by a respected custom home builder
  • Painting of commercial properties including auto dealerships and business franchises such as State Farm Insurance, CiCi's Pizza and Midas.

Since 2008, Ed has been operating Remedy on a smaller scale. Over the past two years, he has settled into a comfortable niche, working side by side with his top lead, Brian, assisting him. It's been a perfect match of skill, dedication to customer service and professional experience totaling over forty years!  As a home or business owner, it's a comfort to know that Ed and Brian are available and on site to answer, address and provide a remedy for any questions or issues that might arise.

Estimates, Job Scope & Warranty
It is preferable to meet with any prospective client and walk the project thoroughly. This is a good time to determine what the home or business owners desires and expectations are, and for Ed to make suggestions on the best course of action for the project at hand. Detailed itemized estimates that reflect all duties and costs are provided in Word format and are usually forwarded via email or hand delivered within 48 hours of your initial consultation.   As with most items of worth, maintenance is an important part of the preservation process. A house is no different. Due to the fact that most houses that have been built in recent years use building products that require constant maintenance to promote a sound structure, Remedy offers competitive warranties and maintenance programs.  These programs can be discussed in detail during your consultation.

Selecting the right painting contractor is something to be carefully considered for any painting project. Your painting contractor needs to be someone you can trust and understands the dynamics of the relationship between a client and a contractor. Each contractor should provide you with a list of long term repeat clients as well as recent references.  Local neighborhood references are always a great tool to use in your selection process.

Ed understands the dynamic of the customer/contractor relationship and has made a habit of conducting himself in an honest, fair and ethical manner  with the premise of always  respecting the homeowner and their property.  Ed's focus is on a long term relationship that involves not only the current customer today or tomorrow, but many years down the road.  He strives for a reputation where clients are comfortable referring Remedy to their friends and family members alike.  Referrals are what have helped grow Remedy and taking care of every customer's needs is paramount!

There is a right way and a wrong way to do everything.  At Remedy, our reputation depends on doing it right the first time.  You don't get a second chance to make that first impression.  That's why we've established a database of over 1,000 happy and repeat customers.
